Snowboarding

Snowboarding

The other weekend I went on a snowboarding day trip with my badminton friends. Having never snowboarded before, I didn't have high hopes. These were realised in the morning with me spending the vast majority of the time sitting on the snow. This was not because I fell over a lot, but because I couldn't stand up! Fortunately my snow trousers were warm.

The afternoon was much better though, partly because I ate cake, but mainly because I managed to get down 2 slopes. One with some help and the second completely on my own. Admittedly it took me about an hour, when most people take 5 or 10 minutes, but I made it! As soon as I managed to stand up, I actually was quite proficient! I am a lot better at making snow angels though! I was very shocked that I was snowboarding without falling over. I managed over 100m at several points. Unfortunately there is no photographic proof of my ability, I only have my friends' word for it.
