Flying Visit to Germany

In July 2014, I flew to Berlin for the weekend to join a reunion of many friends that I lived with in Germany. The trip involved a ridiculously early Saturday flight out, a late Sunday evening flight back and four hours in total on the train, but it was well worth it. The weather was stunning, so after quite a lot of chatting and tea drinking, we went for a walk round Halle's botanic gardens, followed by a BBQ picnic together, with the compulsory German sausages. The following day I spent in Dessau: After a walk by the river, we watched a traditional German street parade. It was fascinating to see all the costumes and historic outfits. All in all a lovely weekend, which I look forward to repeating, but next time I am spending longer there! (The photo shows all the girls and Mario and was taken by Corneel).
