Sushi and Champagne

This night was amazing! Arigatou gozaimasu Miho and Kirigaya san!

My friend Miho from badminton invited me to go with her and her colleague to a resturant owned by one of her friends. I had no idea what to expect. We meet the manager, Kirigaya san, at bottom of the building. He then took us up to the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills skyscraper, the Tokyo City View observatory. We walked round the observatory (for free). Tokyo is stunning from up there!

We then went into the restaurant and had a guided tour, including the VIP lounge. We sat at the best table in the main room with a fantastic view over Tokyo. Champagne and sushi were ordered. Both were delicious. The sushi was so beautiful - I tried every type - tuna, mackerel, shrimp, eel, salmon roe, sea urchin, egg and some I didn't recognise. I really enjoyed the evening talking in English and Japanese.
