It is quite amusing going to changing rooms in Japanese shops. Firstly it is very important to remove your shoes before standing on any carpet. Then not only do the attendents check each changing room inbetween each use, they also hand you a piece of translucent cloth. Fortunately the first time I was given one of these, there was a box with instructions on it. You are meant to wear it on your head while putting on or taking off garments to stop makeup getting on the clothes. Genius! If a little annoying, as you can't really see what you are doing! I was even more amazed to find one shop that solved this problem - a plastic pane in the material!

Flowery dresses
I have succumbed to Japanese fashion and have bought myself 2 flowery dresses. This is quite restrained - I have stayed away from the lace and frills that are also in fashion.
