- Always read the baggage limits on the airline website properly. It will save you a lot of money! Particularly if your airline has different baggage limits for different locations.
- Never agree to a meal out with your colleagues the evening you arrive in Japan, especially if like me you have a tendancy to cry when tired!
- Never attempt to use substitute cutlery, even if there is none in your flat. The free in-flight toothbrush handle (unused) does not work, especially not to eat pasta. Convenience stores have ready meals which are a lot better alternative!
- If you catch the limousine bus from the airport, always remember to look out of the window when leaving and watch the bus leave after you get off. Watching the bus company staff bow to the bus always makes me smile.
