Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate translated means 'Bridge to heaven'. This is a sandbar on the north coast of Japan which is described as being one of the three most beautiful places in Japan. It's other attraction is that it is customary to look through your legs at the sandbar. This apparently is to make it look as though it actually going to heaven. I'm not quite sure about that, but it did give an additional perspective to it. It also resulted in some funny photos.

It wasn't just us who did this. There are handrails provided, so that everyone can look through their legs. There were people of all ages doing this!
