Hakone

A fun trip to the mountain region near Mount Fuji on a very hot and sunny day. We travelled by train, bus, funicular railway, cable car (the longest cable car in Japan) and pirate ship! Stops on route included Hakone open air museum and Owakudani. Hakone open air museum is a park full of sculptures, some by Picasso. At Owakudani we had a spectacular view of Mount Fuji and we did the done Japanese thing there of eating an egg that had been boiled black in the sulphur hot springs. Yummy!
