Odaiba and Kyoto

Odaiba + Kyoto

My friend Claire came to visit me during Golden Week, the week of national holidays in Japan, so we went to see Odaiba the first evening.

The following day we went to Kyoto and saw Mount Fuji from the Shinkansen (bullet train)! We went to the silver pavillion, the Philosophers path and a couple of other temples. We had an entertaining lunch in a very typical Japanese restaurant. They wanted to serve as many people as possible, so they sat us on a table with 3 Japanese couples - a test for our chopstick skills! and my Japanese!
